About

Dr. Roanne Joy Velarde is a licensed clinical psychologist currently residing in her hometown of Las Vegas, NV. As a Filipino-American, Dr. Velarde is passionate about advocating for the importance of mental health in the Asian, Asian-American and Pacific Islander communities.

My Approach

My Approach

My therapeutic approach to treatment is to be active and directive, while providing compassion and empathy to each person I work with. I strive to help my clients build upon their strengths and find meaning in their lives.

In our work together, my goal is to provide both emotional support and practical feedback to help my clients navigate the challenges they face. I believe that building awareness and understanding is a crucial part of the change process.

I primarily work from Psychodynamic and Cognitive-Behavioral perspectives.
